April 19 An Energetic Medicine View of CFS/FM

Tues., 7:00—9:00 P.M.

Jerry Tennant, M.D.

When Jerry Tennant became ill, he realized that if the body received the energy it needed, it could heal itself. Dr. Zulia Valeyeva-Frost, a Russian-born pediatrician and a London practitioner, trained him. Always a pioneer and motivated to help others find answers during his 30+years of medical practice, Dr. Tennant shares cutting edge science to demonstrate how complementary and alternative therapies work together.

Dr. Tennant will be discussing Energetic Medicine, Scenar Techolognology (pronounced: ska nar – an acronym for Self-Controlled Energy Neuro-Adaptive Regulator) and Cybernetic Biofeedback. These devices analyze and treat health problems utilizing microprocessors, electro-therapy, and revolutionary cybernetic biofeedback. They activate the body’s production of neuropeptides, regulative peptides, neurotransmitters, and opiates. Join us as we learn how to integrate ancient wisdom and modern technology in a journey towards healing and wellness. (www.SenergyMedicalGroup.com)

May 14 Health Fair: Health Fair: Free Demos of Treatment Modalities

Sat., 2:00—5:00 P.M.

Treatment Therapies: Massage, Reflexology, IonCleanse, Chi Machine

Join us for this exciting opportunity to experience four different treatment modalities. Deborah Titus, a massage therapist trained in myofascial release and other techniques, will provide chair massages. Reflexologist Taft Baker will demonstrate the use of a laser treatment and offer reflexology sessions. Staff members from Super Value Pharmacy (in Euless) will make available several free IonCleanse sessions. Lastly, two members will bring their chi machines for members to try. Time will not allow everyone to have a free demo of each treatment so we will hold a drawing very shortly after 2 p.m. Search www.google.com to find information on any of these modalities.

June 18 CFS & Diastolic Cardiomyopathy

Sat., 2:00—5:00 P.M.

Paul Cheney, M.D., Ph.D.

This seminar by Dr. Cheney will focus on the most significant research breakthrough yet in the area of CFS. This illness, that keeps many of us confined to our beds or sofas for a significant part of each day, may actually be saving our lives. Dr. Cheney has found that CFS is a compensatory defense mechanism against a particular heart problem that is extremely difficult to detect without the right equipment, competent technicians, and a knowledgeable doctor to interpret the data.

RSVPs for this event will not be taken, given the high rate of no shows due to illness. Videotapes of the seminar will be available, so if you’re not feeling well, don’t force yourself to come – just buy the video! There are about 200 seats available on first-come, first-serve basis.

The seminar will be held at the Irving Civic Center Complex (825 West Irving Blvd.) in the Irving City Council Chambers. The Chambers are to the left of the lobby area. From 183, take the Irving Blvd. exit south to the Irving Civic Center Complex. Look for the flagpoles and park in front. If you go too far, you’ll see a huge fountain and the Irving Library. There is also a parking garage behind city hall on Rock Island Road.
