One of the largest CFS discussion groups on the web (yahoogroup, CFSFMExperimental) has started a series of polls created by Ken Lassesen comparing Person With CFIDS (PWC) responses to different protocols.
Anyone can vote. To see the number of votes and specifics of the polls (one for each type of treatment), or if you would like to contribute to this poll, go to: http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/CFSFMExperimental/polls
you can just join the group to contribute your experience and then leave the group. The results as of today (02/17/05) are shown below:
| PROTOCOL | Improve | No Change | Loss |
| Ampligen | 0% | 0% | 100% |
| Marshall | 30% | 0% | 70% |
| ImmunoPro | 53% | 26% | 21% |
| Hemex | 60% | 20% | 20% |
| Guaifenesin | 33% | 58% | 8% |
| Cheney | 40% | 60% | 0% |
| Nicholson | 50% | 50% | 0% |
| Jadin | 67% | 33% | 0% |
| Teitelbaum | 67% | 33% | 0% |
| Alfred Blasi | 88% | 13% | 0% |
Notes
1). These are self-reporting subjective evaluations with small samples. These are not definitive.
2). "Alfred Blasi" is a very new protocol that appears to be focus on dehydration and mineral supplementation. Very new protocols tend to over-report success.
3). Remember "Do no harm" is always the wisest course in picking protocols.
