Proteomics is not a term your average person will necessarily come across in their average day. To help you get a handle on what it really means you can look in the Proteomics Glossary. Center for Advanced Proteomics Research (CAPR)

Welcome to the Center for Advanced Proteomics Research (CAPR) at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (UMDNJ). CAPR is located in the Medical Science Building at the UMDNJ-New Jersey Medical School. This facility is equipped with state-of-the-art proteomics instruments and bioinformatics systems for protein structure and function analysis. CAPR has several new instruments that include a Micromass QTOF API mass spectrometer and an Applied Biosystems 4700 Proteomics Analyzer.
