As you know by now (if you've read your January newsletter), I have submitted my resignation as support group leader, effective June 30. We need many volunteers to come forward if our support group is to continue in its present form. At this time, though a couple of people are considering key positions, we have no one committed to the tasks that would allow meetings to continue, and no one committed to the tasks that would allow a hardcopy newsletter to be mailed out. It will very likely continue to be produced and be available online, along with past issues, at our website www.dfwcfids.org. Likewise, support and networking will still be available through our current email groups at yahoogroups.com.
So, worst case scenario is that we will evolve into an online community, at least for the time being. While not ideal, it would be workable.
Unless we can get volunteers for our volunteer positions, there will be no meetings after June, and there will be no newsletters mailed out after the July issue, though, again, I expect the newsletter to be available online.
the volunteer opportunities are numerous. Look here for the complete listing.
I'll let you know if I've forgotten any position or role. Thanks for considering if there's any way you can contribute to this support group that has helped so many!
