Profession (current or before illness)	Carol grew up in Euless. She graduated from, and later returned to Trinity High School to teach math. She also spent three years teaching English in Japan and serving as a houseparent in a boarding school in Pakistan.
Personal Story	CFIDS struck in 1987 while she was in seminary preparing to become a Presbyterian minister. After a year of illness she "recovered" and continued her studies until CFIDS struck again in 1991. After a year's leave of absence and over two years of reduced class loads she gradually reached full functionality and was able to graduate. She worked as an Associate Pastor in North Carolina for nearly two years before CFIDS struck again in March of 1996. Carol was asked to serve in the pulpit of Emmanuel Presbyterian church on March 21, 1999. We are blessed to have a copy of her sermon for those that were not able to attend.
Special Interests	Carol has been asked to facilitate our meetings and to coordinate educational and advocacy events in the community. She now acts as our Support Group President and a Managing Editor of our Support Group’s newsletter, The DFW Lighthouse. She became a patient of Dr. Paul Cheney's and sees him twice a year. She finds involvement with this group very meaningful.
