Profession
(current or before illness)
|
I am a former psychiatric nurse disabled since 1996
with CFIDS/FM/MCS.

Personal Story
|
I won my social security disability on the CFS diagnoses.
I live currently in Santa Fe with hopes to possibly immigrate to New Zealand
depending on Spirit's plans for me. I have been living on very little money
for the past year so have not been able to do alot of therapies. What I
am doing however I receive free or for a small Medicare copayment. I am
doing subtle body osteopathy with a D.O., some herbology with a holistic
M.D., some Sufi heart energetic healing work with a student of Dr. Robert
Jaffe's School of Energy Mastery, and regular Johrei energy work. Currently
I am pretty homebound except for important errands and therapies. I live
alone about 20 minutes north of Santa Fe. It is quiet here, almost too
quiet at times. I have been divorced since 1992 and have no children.

Special Interests
|
I enjoy the outdoors as much as possible, I love
films mostly foreign and independent ones, I just got a computer so I enjoy
exploring its uses, I read and listen to music for leisure and enjoy long
luxurious baths that help with the intense fibromyalgia pain. I have to
use caution in most buildings due to chemical sensitivities.

Comments
|
I am spiritually inclined and sometimes am guided
to attend a spiritual workshop or event, especially when a number of God-realized
individuals come to town e.g. Ammachi, Sri Karunamayi, Byron Katie.
I have an extensive history of dealing with illnesses even before I became
disabled and therefore have been treading the path of healing for quite
a long time trying many different forms of healing from allopathy to Ayurvedic
to homeopathy to osteopathy to Chinese traditional medicine along with
some Qi Gong. I became a massage therapist right around the time I became
disabled and have used bodywork in my own healing process.
At this stage of the game it has become paramount for me to accept this
illness as it is and not to put so much energy into physical healing. I
am interested in experiencing a deeper connection with my soul, with Spirit,
with the Earth, with others whether or not this illness ever shifts on
the physical. It has been extremely painful to accept I may never physically
heal but emotional and mental healing have become the priority. It would
be great if I physically heal but I am no longer willing to stake my happiness
on that outcome. |
