I found this protocol on the ImmuneSupport.com website and thought that it may be of interest for some of you. I hope this is of help to someone. I try to use epsom salts in a warm bath after a massage. Sometimes if you don't do this after a massage you may feel stiffer or sorer the next day. Linda, R.Ph.
Before bath, shower or scrub your body
thoroughly
with soap and a loofah sponge( I would recommend
not
using a soap that moisturizes-perhaps Ivory would be
a
good one to use). Take another cleansing shower
after bath. When standing up after a hot bath you may experience dizziness.
Start with a 5 minute bath with water only as
hot
as you can stand and increase to 30 minutes as
tolerated. If you experience dizziness, headache, exhaustion, fatigue, nausea, or weakness stop the
bath
and wait a few days before trying again at a lower
time period. Try to work up to 3 baths a week.
Take
Vitamin C before and after each bath to help remove toxins(no amount was given). Drink 8 ounces of
water while in bathtub.
Add one of the following ingredients to bath, use only one at a time.
a. Epsom Salts - start at 1/4 cup and increase
to
4 cups as tolerated.
b. Apple cider Vinegar - start at 1/4 cup and increase to 1 cup.
c. Hydrogen peroxide - Add up to 8 ounces of food grade 35% hydrogen to a tub half full of warm water. This is not the same as the hydrogen peroxide that we buy for cleaning wounds. Perhaps a pharmacy could order in the food grade for you.
d. Baking soda - Add 8 ounces to bath or mix together equal parts of baking soda and sea salt and gradually increase until using 1 pound of each.
Using one of these protocols after a massage will help remove more toxins.
