Not Our Groups—But Still Helpful!
You'll find on the web many other helpful mailing lists or groups; look in the right column to click & join some of them. You'll have to decide which are most helpful for you because there is a lot of information "out there" and these are just a few of the groups.
- CFSFMExperimental (yahoo!groups): An information and discussion list for chronic fatigue syndrome [CFS,cfids] and fibromyalgia [fm] patients who are taking experimental medical treatments or who are interested in learning about them. The basis of this group is respect for each other and for all experimental treatments.
- CFS_Research (yahoo!groups): The goal of this group is to discuss all available research / info on CFS. Members are encouraged to look for new Research on CFS and to put it on the list. Secondly, the intention of the list is to share your experience on CFS with fellow patients and to discuss treatments, different medications, health, symptoms, feelings and available research on the subject. The goal of the list is that all members can share their story and experience on medication, that they take or have taken in the past, with other members of the list. - Samento (yahoo!groups) - Samento TOA-free liquid extract is being used more and more by patients seeking results where traditional medicines have failed. Studies suggest Samento to be beneficial in the treatment of a wide range of immune system-related conditions (including illnesses such as cancer, arthritis, bursitis, rheumatism, allergies, ulcers, systemic candidiasis, all forms of herpes, diabetes, lupus, chronic fatigue syndrome, fibromyalgia, intestinal disorders and HIV infection). - AlfredblasiprotocolFMSCFS (yahoo!group): This is group is dedicated to discussion of recovery from Fibromyalgia (FMS), Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS or CFIDS) or M.E, using the protocol developed by Alfred Blasi. Whether you are a sufferer or are interested in learning more, you are welcome here. This is an independent, non-commercial group.
- CFAlliance (yahoo!group): Welcome to our Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS), Myalgic Encephalomyelitis (ME) and Fibromyalgia (FM) info website! All info posted on this website is ONLY about CFS/ME/FM and their related illnesses such as Brainfog, IBS, RLS, TMJ, Lupus, Sjogren's, Candida, Raynaud's, Celiac, Sinusitis, Lyme, Arthritis, GWS and MCS. - Care2.com: There are some good CFS/FM groups here. Helpful & caring. Lots of good information, links, helpful people.
- Alt.Med.* newsgroups(at google.com): There are several helpful newsgroups here also including alt.med.cfs, alt.med.fibromyalgia, and alt.med.fibromyaglia.recovery.info. Although it doesn't necessarily negate their value (everyone has different needs), be aware that your exposure level slightly greater there and some of the newsgroups aren't moderated.
- MCS-Canada (yahoogroup): This group was formed to assist patients and concerned parties from all nationalities learn to cope with enviromental injury plus disorders such as MCS,ME,CFS,FM,Lyme,Lupus,GWS,PPS, as well as related and associated illnesses. Topics include among others: general health information, Health Politics,therapies/treatments both alternative and traditional,definitions and differing perceptions, tests,new relevent discoveries and studies,where to find products,eating organic,avoidance and what that means.
- ImmuneSupport.com: This group is very helpful and even has message boards specifically for Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS) and Fibromyalgia (FM), Alzheimer's, Arthritis, and CFS/FM Depression. Easy to use & understand!
- Fibrom-L mailing list: Another very useful list. Full of great information, great links, helpful people. Seems to be well moderated (but not overly). The main website is The FMS community with lots of great info too!
- eFibro.com: a helpful place for those with fibromyalgia to share their thoughts and experiences regarding the living with and dealing with this disease. CEO Bob Bauyrs of the Fibromyalgia & Fatigue Centers also owns this site. They also have a free newsletter & mailing list.
