Financial Help Need help paying those out-of-pocket expenses for Medicare or Medicaid? The Health Care Financing Administration offers four programs with varying levels of help, based on your situation. There are different exemption plans, each with its own restrictions, but if you qualify, it can add up to an extra $546 to your income each year. Contact Medicare Information hotline 800-MEDICARE and ask about the Qualified Medicare Beneficiaries plan, the Specified Low-Income Medicare Beneficiaries plan and the Qualified Individuals Plan.
