![]() May 12, 1999 is CFIDS Awareness Day, help us inform the politicians of our situations as members of the community! Hi Everyone, I am the group leader for the CFIDS/FMS Support Group of Rockland County, NY and I am looking for input from others with these illnesses. Our group will have a representative going to lobby in Washington, DC on CFIDS Awareness Day, May 12, 1999. We are planning on sending a book of stories with our representative to show the politicians how these illnesses have been effecting our lives. We are asking group members, and any other patients with CFIDS/FMS, who would like to participate, each to submit a single page to our book. We had originally considered a book just of New York stories, but knew the more pages in our "Impact Book," the stronger our statement. We welcome submissions from any United States citizens. The page can have whatever you like on it as long as it is on a single sheet of standard paper (8 1/2 by 11 inches), has a 1 inch left margin (so it will be easy to bind), and is flat (so it will not be bulky). You can write something- a letter, a poem, or an essay, or it could simply state your name and what state you live in, maybe include your county. It doesnÌt have to include your name if you would rather be anonymous. It can be hand written or typed, or it can be artwork if you prefer. Long or short, your page will be there to represent you and that you are a US resident and these illnesses effect your life. Suggestions for your page:
