WE GOT OUR 501!

In April we finally applied for our 501(c)3 status as an exempt organization. In May we received our official letter of determination. What does this mean? (1) Donors can be assured their contributions are tax deductible. (2) We may now be eligible for certain grants and programs. The possibilities are exciting, but research is needed. Not to mention filling out endless forms! (3) We expect to be exempt from state sales tax. The application has been sent to the State and we are awaiting official word. (4) Incorporation was part of the process. This protects the assets of individual leaders and members in the event the group is ever sued. A sad and unlikely possibility, but a prudent move in today's world.

Donating Blood

Many people with CFIDS wonder about the advisability of donating blood. The CFIDS Association of America recommends that CFIDS patients refrain from donating blood, bone marrow, or organs, since the contagion issue has not yet been resolved. Also, it may not be safe since many people with CFIDS have low blood volume and other vascular problems.

Have you been ill my child?
Did you feel my presence there?
As I held your sick body
I listened to every prayer.

Did you feel me hold you up
When you were too weak to stand?
Did you find the earthly angels
I sent to take your hand?

Did you come to know me better
While you were sick & filled with fear?
For I have never left my child
I have always been right here.

Sometimes it is an illness
That brings you running back to me,
When you are weak I am strong
With your soul you learn to see.

Did you find the many blessings
You took for granted the day before?
And did you hear my answers
As you knelt upon the floor?

It's God's way of healing
That often goes untold,
Through illness of the body
God may choose to heal your soul.

?????????????????????????
Thank you to my earthly angels, Mother Louise and Uncle J.D. And thank you God for listening.

Thanks Again!
